Forest Charcoal Soap

I was worried that the soap might be drying for my normal with oily forehead skin and I was surprised that there was no tightness. Skin felt soft and smooth and ready for the sea kelp skin cream.

Love it! My go to soap from now on!

Our family loves all of the products we have tried, and the charcoal soap is no exception. Love feeling like my face is actually clean, without the crazy dryness or filmy feeling left behind on my skin. Great product!

I buy this for my husband. He has very sensitive skin but this doesn’t bother him at all plus it smells wonderful!

I have been buying the excellent NS Fishermans soap (different fragrances) for a number of years. This year I received a sample of the forest charcoal and loved the fragrance. The charcoal grit is useful after working in the garden. I subsequently bought a full-sized bar but unfortunately the fragrance was almost completely gone. It had an old soap smell. It may have just been a one-off, but I am reluctant to purchase now as I was hoping to send them as gifts and at this point I don't know which bar was actually representative.

There have tried several Canadian made charcoal soaps and Fisherman is unlike the others., I was in for a shock after opening the box and discovered the bar definitely has that sandpaper feel. Exactly what one would want from a charcoal bar of soap.'

The packaging is nicely laid oiut. Well done to whomever design the full line of products

While I love the idea of this soap, it is painful and left scratches all over my skin after my shower. The exfoliating bits are so sharp that I cannot continue to use it.

This used to be the best soap. It was my go to favorite. Perfect grit. Great sosp.

Now it's a gritty mess of sharp black chunks that isn't worth buying. Hard black pieces can get caught in....uncomfortable places.

I thought I bought a nad bar, but NOPE. I bought another and it was the same sharp gritty mess that should never have been sold.

It's been reduced a to super sharp and gritty hand soap unworthy to shower with.

Very disappointed. No point in buying another.

Had a good thing, ruined it with unnecessary "change".

I think this soap is fantastic in that it smells great and left my skin feeling clean. However, I wouldn't consider this a "Light" exfoliant as another review called out. The bar has what feel to be very sharp-edged salt chunks or charcoal pieces within it? I'm not too sure, but they're visible on the bar. I think this would normally be fine if they were much smaller in size, however, I found that using the bar in my body was actually quite painful (as it felt like it was scratching me). After my shower, I noticed scratches all around my back and chest - not knowing the type of damage I was initially causing.

Suggestion would be to lather the soap with your hands, and use your hands to rub it into your skin. Do NOT use the bar directly on your body. You will get scratched up.

Just opened the box and I'm in love already! Not only does this soap smell great, but it's light exfoliation leaves me clean and refreshed. Will definitely add this soap to my current rotation of all of my other Nova Scotia Fisherman faves!

My friends can't believe that this is what I've been using to wash my face now for 3+ years. I swear by it. No need for expensive face wash just this charcoal soap and a face cloth. I even bring it with me on vacation because my skin just doesn't seem the same without it.

Hands down best smelling soap I've ever tried. I had my whole family ask what smells so good when I get out of the shower and I tell them this soap.

It works, it lasts long, and it's the best smelling bar of soap I have ever smelled in my life!

My boyfriend and I both work a really dirty job and this stuff gets us clean at the end of the day. Also, from using it on my face it’s pretty much gotten rid of the blemishes that have been on my cheeks for years.

Started using this soap in lieu of an apricot scrub I had been using for a few years ... although the natural composition of the soap bar and environmental packaging appealed to me I was concerned it may not be as effective as the scrub. Now that I am using this soap bar I can report that it's an appropriate replacement ... my face is clean and my skin is smooth.

My eczema outbreaks are usually caused by allergic an reaction. I have reactions to many different soaps. This soap soothes my eczema when I have an outbreak and seems to help. I love this product it leaves me feeling so clean and it smells wonderful.

I operate a hydrovac and sometimes you get blasted with dirt and sand. It gets right into your skin. I’ve tried several charcoal soaps and this one works the best. Brings up the dirt and it washes away. It smells great and doesn’t dry you right out. Love it!

Both my husband and I love this soap. It smells lovely and acts like an exfoliant... two products in one!

This soap is so gorgeous!!! I had severely dry skin and it totally cleared it up for me. The scent was fantastic as well!
