Days For Girls

Every time that we cut our hand made bars of soaps into the perfect 5oz bar we are left with the end pieces that is not exactly the size we like.

Although that bar may not be the perfect size or shape, it is still quality handmade soap with our natural ingredients. We have been saving these “ scrap soaps” in the hopes that we may find a better use for them. We are happy to say we have found a wonderful organization that we are proud to begin to donate every scrap piece of soap that we have from now on.

The organization is called Days for Girls. They believe that every girl and women in the world should have access to quality sustainable feminine hygiene products and proper health education and they are on a mission to provide this for every girl and women by 2022. We are proud to support this mission. With the donation of our soaps, the girls and women who receive these hand made sustainable hygiene products, will have the proper sanitary means to clean and re-use these products! This mission is a sustainable and creative solution to getting feminine hygiene products to women who need them.

For some women in third world countries without access to proper feminine care they can feel forced to stay home during their monthly menstruation. With the Days for Girls movement, these women can feel the freedom and independence to take control of their bodies and properly care for themselves during this time of month. By providing them with the proper education these women can feel confident in their own skin and we are proud to support that.

Learn more about Days for Girls and donate on their website to their wonderful cause.

Our local Chapter of “Days for Girls” are so grateful to your amazing company for providing us with your soap ends to be used in our reusable cloth menstrual pad kits. These kits are provided at no cost to girls all around the world who would otherwise go without access to feminine hygiene supplies, allowing them to take back valuable days from school and work that they would’ve otherwise missed….
The soap ends are the perfect size for kits and I think it’s very environmentally responsible that your company has thought of ways that it can benefit others while also using a product that might have otherwise gone to waste. Thank you so much!

Reading this made my day, it’s a great cause and yours is the first company I’ve heard of taking on the challenge. It speaks volumes that it isn’t a popular, #trending, charity.
Initially I weasel impressed with your quality ingredients, not to mention the choice of ingredients are fantastic. This news however, is the type of thing that makes me want to stand by a company simply because I know that they care.
Thank you,
Tina Hurley

What is Sustainable Palm Oil?

We should first say that we believe unethical palm oil production is a significant problem and is not at all what we stand for as a company. When harvested correctly, palm oil is a powerful, natural, wonderful ingredient that many communities rely on for income.

What is Cold Process Soap?

October 04, 2018

As more and more publications on the negative impacts from liquid, chemical, anti-bacterial soaps appear, those in search of chemical-free, healthy skincare are moving towards more natural soaps.

The cold process method of soap making is the most natural way to produce soap. It requires fewer chemicals and additives than other methods, and the outcome is a higher-quality, dense, and longer-lasting bar.
